A highly skilled senior environmental scientist with demonstrated success excelling in dynamic, fast-paced project management initiatives with over 20 years of experience. Comprehensive knowledge of achieving environmental compliance within high-profile, deadline-driven, budget-restricted environments. Types of projects include Environmental Transaction Screenings, Phase I, Phase II, Remedial Action Work Plans, Remedial Investigations, NPDES permitting and sampling, and treatment system monitoring. - Phase II, Substation Soil and Soil Vapor Sampling and Reporting; Pasadena, CA Ms. Brady performed the soil sampling, and oversight of a driller and soil vapor mobile laboratory for a site with potential PCB and VOC impacts to soil within a residential area located in Pasadena. A report was prepared and submitted to the client.
- Phase I and Phase II ESAs, Los Angeles, CA Ms. Brady prepared a proposal, site reconnaissance and Phase I ESA report for Los Angeles World Airport (LAWA). Site information, and field documentation were compiled into a report for submission to the client for a Phase II ESA. Coordinated fieldwork, subcontractors, utility mark outs and conducted the soil and soil vapor sampling. Prepared final report.
- Phase I ESA, Corona, CA Ms. Brady prepared a proposal, site reconnaissance and Phase I ESA report for a commercial strip mall property with multiple state case closures and potential onsite groundwater impacts. Site information, and field documentation were compiled into a report for submission to the client.
- Phase I ESA, San Bernardino County, CA Ms. Brady prepared a proposal, site reconnaissance and Phase I ESA report for a remote property off of Highway 38 in the San Bernardino Mountains. Site information, and field documentation were compiled into a report for submission to the client.
- Phase II ESA for elevator removal, Santa Ana, CA Ms. Brady task managed and performed a soil investigation and sampling for the client Sears. She completed a health and safety plan, soil sampling, and a summary report. The report included information regarding the soil investigation, the sampling, and the analytical results to present to the client.
- Task Manager, Dunn Edwards Phase II ESAs, five sites, CA Ms. Brady managed and performed soil boring oversight, soil vapor probe installations, and soil and soil vapor sampling for the client Dunn Edwards for their facilities located in Culver City, Lawndale, Maywood, Glendale, and Vernon. - Portfolio of Sites, Various fertilizer facilities in Idaho Ms. Brady managed and performed groundwater sampling for the client, the State of Idaho, for several of their fertilizer facilities across Idaho. Completed work with a limited budget. Documented field work, and summarized data into one report to present to the client.
- Highgrove Generating Power Plant Closure, Highgrove, CA Ms. Brady performed an enhanced Phase I Environmental Site Assessment for the client Cal-EPA Department of Toxic Substances Control and AES for the closure of the Highgrove Generating Power Plant. Project responsibilities included the preparation of a Current Conditions Report/Resource conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Facility Assessment Report, management of the project budget, and presentation of a comprehensive overview of the site and its issues concerning hazardous waste. Because the DTSC had not presented a format for this report type, the Current Conditions Report/RCRA Facility Assessment Report was also presented as a template for future reports for similar sites.
- Redevelopment Project; Meadowlands, NJ Ms. Brady prepared environmental/ecological assessments and field sampling for the area surrounding the Meadowlands site for the client Xanadu to assess the potential ecological effects of the proposed new buildings, stormwater outfalls, and parking areas.
- Preliminary Endangerment Assessment Report; Los Angeles, CA Ms. Brady prepared a Preliminary Endangerment Assessment Report for the Los Angeles Unified School District for a proposed school site in Los Angeles County.
- Due Diligence for Environmental Liability Transfer, Edgewater, NJ Ms. Brady coordinated with the client, Unilever in New Jersey, in preparation for a sale transaction for the property, which included the transfer of liability with the sale. Past issues at the site included several areas used for dumping tar waste from a former adjacent site, leaking aboveground storage tank areas, process waste areas, and ecological impacts. She prepared a project budget, selected subcontractors for soil collection and groundwater monitoring well installation, organized teams to perform soil and groundwater field investigations, and prepared a preliminary site assessment and several site investigation reports for the State of New Jersey and the client prior to the sale of the property. All liability regarding environmental issues was transferred to the new owner. Property value was at $18M. The property was sold at $23M.
- Harrison Redevelopment Project, Harrison, NJ Ms. Brady prepared site investigation and remedial investigation reports for the state and confidential clients for the assessment and development of this Brownfield site. She coordinated with sub-contractors and organized teams for soil and groundwater sampling events; performed soil and groundwater field investigations; prepared AutoCAD drawings for the site to discuss the soil and groundwater contamination; prepared a remedial investigation work plan to include a discussion of removal of various sources of impacted soil at the site; and prepared a budget and project schedule for the remedial action.
